Final Year Project CS259

 Assalamualaikum.

On my 5th semester, we are required to start looking for lecturer supervisor and a topic for the upcoming Final Year Project (FYP). Alhamdulillah, both of them were settled. Big thanks to all lecturers for guiding us in finding the right and suitable topics for our FYP.

The project I will be working on is Sign Language Detection.

Sign languages are languages that use visual-manual modality to convey meaning. This project aims to recognize hand gestures or pose and convey the meaning behind it to help deaf people to communicate easily and more effectively with normal people.

Based on my small research on the Internet, there are a lot of people who have done this project. However, most of them focused on recognizing letters/ alphabets through the folded and unfolded fingers.

Therefore, my supervisor advised me to improve the feature by having the system to be able to recognize hand gestures/pose to convey actual words or meaning instead of recognizing a single letter.

For the time being, this is only what I had in my mind. I will update my FYP progress from time to time. I am writing this on 16th April 2021, not knowing if I could actually complete my FYP. I'll update here again if I succeed in completing them!

Semester Break

 Assalamualaikum.

During my semester break, i worked at Taska in Kluang, Johor. My job scope was non-related with my Program. However, I felt the need to experience this job to fill my semester breaks with new experience and joy. 

On my last day of work, I felt very emotional because I have grown affection towards the kids. However life must goes on. I hope all of them will grow up to be a good son and daughter. Take care kids, see you again InsyaAllah!

A very well spent semester break, Alhamdulillah. Now, shall we bring our focus to our Final Year Project?

SAFVE UiTM Shah Alam

Assalamualaikum.

On my 4th semester, due to COVID-19 and no physical sport competitions were allowed to be held, I joined Sukan Antara Fakulti Virtual Edition (SAFVE). The tournaments of online E-sport includes games such as Player Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG), Call Of Duty (COD), Mobile Legends, Online Chess and many more. 

There are 5 people in our teammates including me. Unfortunately, we lost and did not get the chance to fight with the athletes from other faculties in the Grand Final Round. But it was definitely the best experience I've ever had, by joining E-sport tournaments of SAFVE.

We are now planning to join this tournament in our 5th semester. May the force be with us!
